D.202 Board of Education approves 2 new assistant principals

    The District 202 Board of Education approved two new building level administrators at its Monday, June 13, 2022 regular meeting.

Ethan Buege is the new Assistant Principal for Student Services at Ira Jones Middle School and Tracy Beneventi is the new Assistant Principal at Plainfield Academy beginning next school year.

Beneventi opened the Academy in 2002 and has spent her entire career in alternative education.

She has been a special education teacher at the Academy for 20 years.

Beneventi also has served as the CAAEL (Chicago Area Alternative Education League) coordinator and coach for 18 years.

Beneventi replaces Karyn Holstead who is the new Principal at Plainfield Academy.

Buege is new to District 202. He currently is the Assistant Principal at Long Beach Elementary School in District 308 in Oswego.

He started his career as a middle school science and social studies teacher in Naperville and Summit.

He also served as assistant principal at Indian Trail Elementary in Highland Park.

Buege replaces Catie Peterson who is the new Principal at Timber Ridge Middle School.
